Yes, OCSCM supports the following microsoft unified communications servers:
-Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 (OCS 2007 R2)
-Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS 2007)
-Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005 (LCS 2005)
-Microsoft Live Communications Server 2003 (LCS 2003)
Should i install OCSCM on one of the Microsoft communications server or a PC / laptop?
You can install it on OCS/LCS servers without any pre-requests in this case or you can install it on any other domain machine PC or laptop but you would need to install OCS/LCS administration console.
What is OCSCM ?
OCSCM is a 3rd party addon for Microsoft Office/Live Communication Server to manage OCS users contacts list in efficient and easy way. IT Administrator can create contacts lists, assign to different group of users, push and populate to all users, create federated contacts and find any contact easily and quickly.
What permissions are required to run OCSCM successfully ?
By default you will need domain admin privilege to create, populate and push groups out to users but we can send you the specific instruction upon request so an OCS admin user can do the job and no need for domain admin privilege.
